Rose Edmands at Sandy's Row Synagogue
The old pews were moved to stand along the mechitzoh. The fridge will be moved to one side of the hall, when we get a long extension that works.
The 1960's benches were moved to the opposite side, one on each side of the door. The tables were moved, one table to each end of the hall. As Rose pointed out, the new benches match the wood panels and look much better when positioned against the wall. The old benches are lower,and look better against the mechitzoh. A gentleman called Ivor who came along for a tour of the synagogue helped Evan shift the furniture, and Rose gave a hand as well.
